114th CHURCH ANNIVERSARY – Our Guest Preacher is Rev. T. Devan Franklin, III and a native of Warren, Ohio. He serves as the seventh pastor of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in the Walter Hill community of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Rev. Franklin is an experienced writer, having written curriculum for the Sunday School Publishing Board as well as the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and has co-authored We Have This Ministry: A New Guide for Licensing and Ordaining Ministers. He has taken an active role in community engagement, having been a board member for Dismas House in Nashville, Tennessee, and The Murfreesboro Achievement Foundation.
Rev. Franklin is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., having joined the fraternity in 2015. He has previously served as the chapter Chaplain and the St. Jude’s Sunday of Hope Chairman for the Murfreesboro (TN) Alumni Chapter.
Devan currently resides in Murfreesboro, TN with his wife Dr. Chatoria Kent Franklin. The family is blessed to be considered “blended” as they raise three beautiful daughters, and one energetic son.
